FIRST TIME HOME BUYER WORKSHOP

Thank you for your interest in attending our First Time Home Buyers Workshop. We will cover the financial issues you should be aware of that affect you as a renter, and why you may benefit from buying a house or condo.  Here you will learn the steps necessary to buy your own property and finally be free of paying rent.

We'll help you understand the home buying process by breaking down each step to give you an easy plan to follow at your own pace. These steps include:
 
     • finding a neighborhood
     • pre-qualification for a loan
     • discussing a comfortable payment
     • choosing your home buying criteria.  
 
We will assist you in understanding the Real Estate contract, the negotiating process, the purchase, and closing the sale. There are many new terms that you will hear associated with purchasing a home that we will help you learn and understand. We'll also have a mortgage broker available to talk with you about qualifying, down payment, and closing costs. You may be able to pre-qualify on the spot.
 
Changing your status from a renter to a home owner may be more within reach than you had imagined, even in these challenging financial times.  There are many programs available to assist you with a low or no money down purchase. Sellers are helping to pay the buyer's closing costs in many cases. This makes it possible to purchase a home with a down payment not much more than a typical security deposit.
